SOME 150 runners convened at Egypt Point in Cowes on Saturday (September 21) for the 11th annual Great North South Run.

The event, arranged by Vectis Lunatics Full Moon and the Isle of Wight Hash House Harriers, attracted participants from across the Island and UK — and even as far as Hawaii!

The route, marked out with 'hashing' chalk and sawdust signposts, took the runners across the Island to St Catherine's Lighthouse — with regular pit stops at local pubs.

The run provided plenty of laughter and camaraderie.

Another echoed this sentiment, adding: "It was the friendliest run I have ever done. Can't wait for next year".

Aaron McGrath credited the event's success to the efforts of all those involved.

"Another successful event, which couldn't take place without the hares, support drivers and check-in crews, all of which are members of Vectis Lunatics Full Moon and Isle of Wight Hash House Harriers," said Aaron.
