The popular Isle of Wight Sandown and Shanklin 10k event, hosted by MCC Productions, returns to the seaside this Sunday (September 15).
The race welcomes runners of all abilities to take part in a scenic run, offering a perfect opportunity for beginners and seasoned athletes alike to enjoy the stunning East Wight coastline.
The 10k course starts and finishes on the seafront, opposite the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary.
Participants will run along the seafront, turning around at the end of the Shanklin promenade before heading back.
The flat, fast course offers the perfect chance to chase a personal best, organisers say.
The event, which is UK Athletics affiliated, will award trophies to the top three male and female finishers, as well as to the Geoff Watkin Over-45 winners.
Runners can sign up on the day of the event at the Sanctuary.
Registration will be open between 9am and 9.45am, with the race scheduled to start at 10pm. The entry fee is £19.
