Two Island triathletes took part in an event on the mainland.
Wight Tri's Liz Dunlop and Chris Till, competing for Vectis Academy Race Team, travelled to Bournemouth to take on the Challenging Events Bournemouth Standard Triathlon.
The event was also a GB Age Group Team Qualification event for the 2025 European Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
The race began with a 1500m swim, which Chris completed in 24 minutes and 26 seconds.
Liz posted a swim time of 29 minutes and 18 seconds.
After a long and steep transition run, both competitors jumped on their bikes to complete the 40km cycling leg of the race.
Chris cycled a time of 58 minutes and 15 seconds, while Liz posted a time of one hour and 21 minutes, ensuring that she got back to transition safely due to the adverse weather conditions.
The final leg of the race was a 10km run, which Chris finished in 37 minutes and 13 seconds, posting an overall time of two hours, four minutes and 40 seconds.
He came 14th overall, and fourth in the 30-34 age group.
Liz completed the run leg in 55 minutes and 38 seconds, finishing the race in two hours, 57 minutes and 13 seconds.
She came 2nd in the 65-69 age group.
Liz will finish racing season with a trip to the Age Group European Championships in Vichy, France to compete in both the sprint and standard distance triathlons.
Chris has finished his season, but will continue to train over winter, gearing up to represent the Island at the Island Games in Orkney next summer.
