Two Island triathletes have qualified for the 2025 European Sprint Triathlon in Istanbul.

Liz Dunlop, of Wight Tri, confirmed her place with a fourth-place finish in her age category in the ATW Mallory Park Sprint Triathlon on August 17.

Helen Scholes and Glyn Jenkins, both also from Wight Tri, competed in the event and finished tenth in their age category and fifth in their age category, respectively.

Helen had already qualified from a previous event, and Glyn could join his teammates through a drop-down qualification.

Wight Tri also held the last event of their summer Splash and Dash series at the Totland Aquathlon.

The event was originally set to be in Gurnard, but the club changed the venue due to the Southern Water sewage outage in the area of the morning of the race.
