Cowes Sports booked their place in the next round of the Hampshire Senior Cup, defeating Romsey Town 3-0 last night (Tuesday).
The Yachtsmen travelled to the AEC Protection Ground looking to kick start their season.
Their last two Wessex Premier League games have ended in heavy defeats, losing 3-0 to Hythe and Dibdon and 7-1 to AFC Portchester, respectively.
After a quiet first 45, Cowes went ahead around 20 minutes into the second half, Scott McFarlane putting them in front.
And just ten minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead, courtesy of Will Bridi.
Finley Phillips added a third, ensuring the Yachtsmen sailed to a comfortable victory.
The win means Cowes advance to the next round. They will find out their next opponents at a later date.
Next up for Cowes is a trip to Bournemouth in the league.
Meanwhile, another Island side are in action tonight (Wednesday).
East Cowes Vics take on Folland Sports in the Hampshire Senior Cup at Beatrice Avenue.
