SMALLBROOK Stadium in Ryde will be the place to be for speedway fans when the GT140 Island Masters roars into town.
The season of high speed motorcycle racing continues on Britain’s fastest race-way on Thursday night (July 25), with e-staging of the GT140 Island Masters, featuring 22 riders in a top class line up, including last year’s winner, Ian Clark.
Kevin Gwillam, who came second in last year's British GT140 Grasstrack Championship and a podium finisher at the Isle of Wight GT140 Winter Warmer events, will also feature.
Also, Wayne Broadhurst, who won the Winter Warmer in December and January, and Mark Chessell, a former speedway rider back in the 80s, and a previous lap recorder holder around the Island on a 500cc bike, will be on the track.
As well as the main event, there is also speedway racing with the Wizards, who take on Cradley Heathens in a development match, plus the usual junior racing, from 6.15pm.
Tapes up 7pm.
