Shanklin Sandown rowing club took five crews to Southampton, for the final coastal fours head before next month's new season.
The race, in two divisions, took the form of a time trial over four kilometres of the river Itchen.
The Junior Men’s four (Arlo Adds, Carter Horrix, Louis Sheasby, Fred Giemza-Pipe with cox, Esme Walters), secured top spot in their event with convincing win, finishing over thirty seconds ahead of the second-placed crew.
The Boy’s J16 Quad Scull (Tobin Green, Layla Katirewa, Horrix and Sheasby, with Walters) had a commanding win in division two, by over a minute and with the second fastest time of the division.
The Mixed Master’s crew (Anna Scott, Paul Gamble, Kev Faithfull and John Langbourne) secured third, whilst the club’s Novice Ladies (Lisa Atkin, Sam Travis, Anna Scott and Evie Selway) finished fourth.
There was also a fourth for the Master’s Ladies’ (Jane Denby-Roach, Stella Gamble, Hayley Owen and Lisa Robertson).
