The six junior indoor cricket competitions on the Isle of Wight were won by six different teams this winter, with teams from Arreton, Ryde and Ventnor Cricket Clubs claiming the silverware.
The first trophy was won by Ryde Royals, who won the U12 League with five wins from as many games.
After close victories over Arreton Hawks, Shanklin and Godshill, Bembridge and St Helens and Ventnor, the girls then overcame Cowes in the final by 11 runs.
Arreton Buzzards took home the U14 League title. They reached the final after comfortable wins over Shanklin and Godshill, Bembridge and St Helens B and Cowes Whites, before a much tighter win over Ventnor Hurricanes.
They saved their best performance for the final, defeating Ventnor Vipers by 54 runs.
The U15 Girls League went the way of Ventnor, who claimed comfortable victories over Ryde, Arreton Rebels and Cowes to top the table.
However, it was the Arreton Rebels who gained revenge in the U15 Girls Cup – a close victory over Ryde in the semi-finals set up a clash with Ventnor in the final – this time the Rebels victorious by three wickets.
The U12 Cup also went to Ventnor with victories over Bembridge and St Helens and Newport saw them up against Cowes in the final – a tight match resulting in a two-wicket win for the Steephill side.
Finally, the U14 Cup was won by the Ventnor Hurricanes. Six-wicket wins over both Bembridge and St Helens sides set up an all-Ventnor final, the Hurricanes easing to a 62-run win over the Ventnor Vipers.
