AS THE target shooting season draws to a close, members of Newport (Isle of Wight) and District Rifle Club competed in its popular annual Air Gun Championship Cups, in both pistol and rifle disciplines.
On Sunday, both competitions were run at their Sainham Range in Godshill.
Both were shot at 25 yards standing, with ten rounds on two cards.
In the rifle competition, Martin Allenden won it, beating Lin Massey and third-placed Ian Lockhart.
The pistol contest was won by Alan Foxworthy — defeating Simon Toogood, and Ed Benstead, who came third.
