Isle of Wight darts star, Keegan Brown, stepped up to the oche on Tuesday afternoon, competing in a major tournament.
Getting his campaign underway at the Paddy Power World Darts Championship, at the Alexandra Palace in London, Keegan, a former world youth champion, faced off against Croatian Boris Krcmar.
His grand appearance went a shade awry. The Islander was set to make his walk-on prior to his match, but was introduced by the wrong name, and to the wrong music.
A mix up saw master of ceremonies, John McDonald, call out Keegan's opponent, Krcmar, instead; a case of mistaken identity.
After the blunder, Keegan brushed off the gaffe, made his way to the stage and the match got underway.
Regrettably, the Islander suffered defeat to Krcmar, who managed to make it past the first round of the PDC World Championship for the very first time.
It was a surprise exit for the off-colour Island darts ace, who lost 3-1 on the day.
His calamitous entrance was perhaps a bad omen, though he did start strong and took the first set.
Krcmar bounced back to sail through the second, and won the third and forth sets thereafter, to book a second-round tie with Dutch 'Titan' Dirk van Duijvenbode on Friday.
The final is set to take place on January 3.
