ISLE of Wight cricket star Adam Hose has had a whirlwind last few weeks — signing for Worcestershire for next season and now one of the world's biggest T20 tournaments, the Big Bash.
Adam, 29, has joined the Adelaide Strikers as one of their three overseas players for the Big Bash, Down Under, which gets underway on December 13.
The Islander, who has spent the past four seasons at Warwickshire, will feature in a team captained by Australia batsman Travis Head who, like Adam, played for Ventnor Cricket Club.
Adam's electrifying performances with the bat this season in white ball cricket, with the Birmingham Bears, in the Vitality Blast campaign, then in The Hundred, with the Northern Superchargers, has really got him noticed.
So much so, Adam earned a call up into the England Lions squad to face South Africa for two matches last month.
In the Vitality Blast, Adam was the third leading run-scorer with the Bears, smashing 558 runs at an average of 55.70 — a strike rate of 160.97.
Posting about his selection for Adeaide in the Big Bash, Adam said: "Absolutely over the moon about this."
His first game will be at home against the Sydney Sixers.
