Reddit users complained of issues with the social media platform on Thursday afternoon (November 21).
Some users said they were unable to read posts in subreddits they had already been looking at.
According to Downdetector, issues started at around 2.40pm with users unable to load the app and website as they usually would.
Problems were recorded by Reddit users across the UK on Down Detector including in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

Of the problems reported, 56% relate to problems with the Reddit app while 31% reported problems with the website.
A further 13% reported related to the server connection.
Reddit users rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) to check if the social media platform was down
Reddit users took to X to ask if anyone else was struggling with similar issues, with one saying: “Looks like reddit is going down again. Anybody else having problems?”

Another commented: “*comes to twitter to see if reddit is down or if it’s just my phone*”.
A third said: “Of course Reddit is down when I’m in the middle of a heated post”.
A user shared: "reddit being down means my posts are missing out on potential traffic and upvotes and karma this is literally the worst day of my life"
Others were also frustrated that the social media platform wasn't working correctly with one saying: "reddit down now? again?!!"
Another person warned others: "REDDIT IS DOWN".
Another user said: "I guess Reddit is down. How else am I supposed to waste time looking at cat and guinea pig pictures?"
