Hikma’s Business: CohenCare 

CohenCare is a homecare company dedicated to providing personalized support and companionship to individuals in need. They focus on enhancing the quality of life for their clients through tailored services that promote independence and dignity. 

Hikma started CohenCare in 2020 with 3 partners after recognizing a significant gap in compassionate home care options in her community. Her desire to create a nurturing environment for those in need inspired her to take the leap into entrepreneurship.  

Hikma became a business owner to address a critical need in her community for compassionate and personalized home care. Her passion for improving the quality of life for individuals and their families motivated her to create a service that truly prioritizes their unique needs. 

CohenCare stands out for its holistic approach to home care, focusing not just on physical assistance but also on emotional and social well-being. They prioritize matching caregivers with clients based on shared interests and values, fostering meaningful connections that enhance the care experience. 

For Hikma, success came from prioritizing quality over quantity. Building strong relationships with her clients and their families has been crucial. They also invest in ongoing training for their staff, ensuring they have the skills and empathy needed to provide exceptional care.

There were certainly challenging moments, especially during the initial stages when growth was slow and resources were limited. However, the positive impact they were making kept Hikma motivated. Each success, no matter how small, reminded her of their mission.
