Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween week saw Chris McCausland and his professional partner Dianne Buswell impress viewers and judges alike but some fans are "concerned" following their performance.
Combining sparkles with spooks, McCausland rocked a blue wig and channelled his best zombie impression, jokingly telling host Tess Daly “I’ll eat your brains” if she wasn’t kind to those on the show.
Comedian McCausland performed a samba to Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees with Buswell but after last week’s high-scoring performance, earning the pair a score of 35/40, they received a lower score of 26 this week.
One viewer was impressed by their performance, sharing their thoughts to X, formerly Twitter: “THAT SAMBA WAS ICONIC thank goodness for Chris and Dianne”.
this man keeps on surprising me each week can we talk about this brilliant partnership between chris and dianne it is absolutely amazing to see them dance together each week 💙 #strictly pic.twitter.com/1ya9OLbSsc

Strictly fans "concerned" for Chris McCausland's future on show
Another said Chris’ performance made them emotional, writing: “Chris McCausland made me feel quite emotional watching him. We are capable of so much more than what society deems is possible”, relating to Chris' blindness and how he continues to impress each week, having being taught by Dianne.
So far this series, as Chris pointed out after their performance, there has been a bit of bad luck for the celebrities who have danced the samba and those who have performed first on the show – both of which Chris and Dianne did this week – with some of them being sent home.
Chris hopes to stay another week though and his Strictly fans are doing all they can to keep him in the competition – one shared to X: “Very concerned that dancing a samba and being first on means 'bottom two' for Chris this week. DO NOT MAKE THIS A REALITY.”

Another said: “They are putting Chris and Dianne first hoping they will be in the dance off.!! Please vote for them. They are national treasures”.
With two clapping hand emojis, one said: “Well I thought that was great from Chris & Dianne, so entertaining to watch”.
Judge Motsi Mabuse hailed it as a “fun way to open the show” and said Chris had “nailed the character”.
Head judge Shirley Ballas also praised his characterisation and thought he did “incredibly well” but that he “overcooked the bounce” in the dance.
