Gordon Ramsay is reportedly in talks with ITV to reboot Hell's Kitchen nearly 15 years after the last show aired in the UK. 

Hell's Kitchen first launched on ITV back in 2004 with Ramsay at the helm.

But the TV chef appeared on one series before taking the concept and turning it into a global phenomenon with it proving particularly popular in the US.  

Following Ramsay's departure Hell’s Kitchen UK continued for three more seasons, featuring replacement chefs Gary Rhodes, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Marco Pierre White.

The final UK series aired in 2009 with Claudia Winkleman as host.

Winkelman has since gone on to host shows including The Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing.

Gordon Ramsay 'in talks' with ITV about Hell's Kitchen reboot

Now Ramsay, according to The Sun, is in talks about a Hell's Kitchen reboot on ITV.

A TV insider, speaking to the news outlet, said: “Early conversations are happening and ITV are very excited about the prospect of it returning.

“It is one of Gordon’s biggest shows around the world by miles and is broadcast to around 100 countries - so it really is huge.

"The real hurdle for him will be fitting it in among his other commitments, but everyone seems thrilled at the mere idea.”

The new host and start date for filming the reboot have yet to be deliberated as talks are at such an early stage.
