Channel 4's latest romantic drama Alice & Jack tells the story of two friends who are said to have a connection "so powerful it seems nothing can break it."

But although the pair's relationship seems perfect from the start, questions of whether their paths will lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness soon arise.

Set over 16 years, Alice & Jack shows the highs and lows of imperfect lovers as they face the complexities of life and love.

The new Channel 4 drama has been described as similar to the BBC's Normal People by the Radio Times, but with a side of 'slow burn'.

Alice & Jack stars Academy Award-nominated actor and producer Andrea Riseborough who is best known for appearing in films To Leslie, Oblivion, Mandy, Battle of the Sexes and Birdman.

Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson also stars and is best known for his lead roles in Richard Curtis' film About Time along with Peter Rabbit, Ex Machina, The Revenant, and The Patient as well as the Harry Potter franchise alongside his father actor Brendan Gleeson.

How to watch Alice & Jack

Alice & Jack will air on Channel 4 starting on Wednesday, February 14 at 9pm with a total of six episodes.

The series will air on Wednesday and Thursday nights at the same time of 9pm over three weeks.
