B&M is known for its hidden treasures, including the likes of sweet treats that can be hard to find here in the UK.
There are a variety of Australian and American snacks that shoppers have discovered on the retailer’s shelves in the past but now a new dessert-flavoured chocolate pouch that all Malteser fans need to know about has arrived.
Black Forest Gateau Maltesers have been found by eager eyes in B&M, currently priced at £2.99 per 150g pack.
It’s thought this is the first time they have been spotted in the UK, as they have only been previously launched in Australia back in July 2023.
They are inspired by the iconic German dessert and have a crisp malt centre covered in dark chocolate, instead of milk chocolate.
The heavenly crunchy balls made by Mars, Incorporated contain flavours of cherry and sponge cake, reports The Sun.
The @treatsinstore Instagram account revealed the findings to foodie lovers and their 14,000 followers.
Along with a picture of the new Maltesers bag, the caption said: “Maltesers Black Forest Gateau, £2.99. Out now in B&M stores. Imported from Australia!”
One user replied: “I'm here for every flavor of Maltesers!”
Whilst another quirked: “It'll be Xmas 2025 before they're in my local,” along with a laughing face emoji.
This person complained: “They have the best maltesers and m&ms in Australia,” with an angry face emoji.
Popular Nestlé chocolate bar returns to B&M after being discontinued
Black Forest Gateau Maltesers are not the only new chocolate to be found in B&M as shoppers have also spotted the discontinued Caramac bar on shelves recently.
Caramac was discontinued after 64 years in November 2023, a decision Nestlé said was made due to "falling sales."
Nestlé said in a statement at the time: “We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Caramac. There has been a steady decline in its sales over the past few years and unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it.
“We know fans will be disappointed to see it go, but this change will enable us to focus on our best-performing brands, as well as develop exciting new innovations to delight consumers’ tastebuds.”

But fans of the caramel-flavoured bar were over the moon when B&M announced they were selling three packs of Caramacs in stores across the UK.
In a post on Facebook, B&M said: "Caramac has always been a guilty pleasure - especially when you're craving a sugar burst!
"This 3 pack is only £1.25; great for a lunchtime treat!"
Someone responded: "Love caramac better get it before they go."
