Isle of Wight ferry firm Red Funnel has warned of disruption on its services tonight into tomorrow morning (Wednesday).

The cross-Solent operator has said forecast fog may cause problems.

It is predicting disruption between 10pm tonight through to 8am tomorrow.

A spokesperson said: "If this forecast remains, there is the potential for some disruption to both our Red Jet and Vehicle Ferry services."

Although no weather warnings are in force, the Isle of Wight Met Service has said we can expect some fog.

On tonight's forecast, Jamie Russell, said: "A mixture of clear spells and occasional areas of cloud moving through, although under those clearer spells the temperature will fall rather low, leading to a widespread frost along with some fog patches in places."

The fog should clear in the morning, the Met Service predicts.

Jamie said: "Another day that will see a mixture of cloud and sunny spells.

"Later in the day we begin to see the risk of the odd shower moving in off the channel."
