Isle of Wight fire services have responded to a field fire in a rural area this evening (Monday, December 2).
Firefighters are attending to a field fire off of Lynch Lane in Calbourne.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: "Newport firefighters are on the scene of a field fire off of Lynch Lane in Calbourne.
"The crew were first called shortly before 5pm and have requested the support of Freshwater’s water carrier vehicle to assist with extinguishing the flames."
