"Therefore the free parking on Saturdays has ended in our car parks (Dudley Road, Market Street and Pound Lane) so please pay by the normal methods going forward.

"We are pleased to have been able to do something to help businesses and locals during the time that the road was closed."

Leeson Road fully reopened on Saturday, November 30, following the completion of three boreholes and the installation of monitoring equipment.

The road was closed following a major landslide on December 10, 2023.

Leeson Road reopened for a period during last summer but closed again on September 9.

Cllr Rodney Downwer, councillor for Wroxall, Lowtherville and Bonchurch, said about the reopening: "It will be immensely good for businesses and residents of Ventnor — and also it will take the pressure off Lowtherville and Wroxall."
