A broken-down car on a main Isle of Wight route is causing significant traffic delays this morning (Monday).
The vehicle has come to a halt on Staplers Road in Newport, near its busy junction with Fairlee Road.
Traffic is beginning to build on Staplers Road, causing tailbacks as far back as Long Lane.
Cross Lane is also affected.
Motorists should avoid the area for the time being if possible.
UPDATE 9.30am:
The County Press understands the road has been cleared.
Traffic is fully flowing once again.
