POWER cuts left around 1,300 properties — including businesses — without electricity on the Isle of Wight.
The outages, in the Shanklin area, were caused by faults yesterday afternoon and evening (Friday, November 29), according to Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSEN).
Initially, 86 properties were without power between 1.34pm and 11.18pm.
Repairs led to a further 570 customers being left in the dark, between 10.51pm and 11.18pm.
