Graphics students from Cowes Enterprise College are illustrating a book of short stories by Isle of Wight pupils.
The stories, penned by Year 5 pupils and inspired by visits from Ian Dickens, great-great-grandson of Charles Dickens, follow the 2024 Children’s Story Festival at Quay Arts in February.
Cowes Enterprise College, part of Ormiston Academies Trust and the festival’s main prize sponsor, is providing artistic input for the publication.
Rachel Kitley, college principal, said: "We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and creativity in bringing these stories to life.
"This project is a wonderful example of how hands-on learning can inspire and engage students, allowing them to see the impact of their work in the real world. We are excited to see the final publication and celebrate the achievements of all the young authors and illustrators involved."
Their students are creating unique illustrations for 13 selected stories.
The book is due to be published later this year.
