"The business has brought us significant repeat patronage from both private and group business throughout our tenure.
"We have decided to retire and to hand over the successful business to a new owner to take to the next level."
The hotel was originally converted from a terrace of seafront houses in 1832, and has since become well-known for 'dancing' holidays.
The hotel features 88 ensuite bedrooms, a bar, a restaurant with panoramic sea views over Sandown Bay and the English Channel, and, what is believed to be, the Island's largest ballroom.

Manpreet Kaur, a spokesperson for Compass Hospitality, said: "We are delighted to announce the acquisition of our first hotel in Sandown — home to one of the most popular beaches located in the Isle of Wight and an area celebrated for its distinctive landscapes and natural beauty.
"This investment marks an exciting milestone for Compass Hospitality as we expand into this new region, reinforcing our commitment to growing our portfolio of unique properties in the UK."
The hotel has been sold by specialist business property adviser, Christie and Co.
Ed Bellfield, regional director at Christie and Co, said: "The sale of the Trouville Hotel represents an exceptional opportunity for the new owners to continue the hotel’s success.
"The hotel business benefits from significant repeat patronage, and the outstanding reputation of the business is a testament to the continued re-investment and family stewardship over recent decades.
"We wish Paul and his family well on their retirement from the hotel business on the Island."
