"Our goal for the APPG for Fair Elections is to replace the 'first past the post' system with proportional representation, eliminate dark money from politics and counter disinformation.
"Part of our mission will be to restore trust in politics and the political process.
"But this has cross-party support and the APPG aims to act as that bridge between public campaigns and gaining the support needed in Parliament."
A report issued by the APPG suggests changing the first past the post voting system to a form of proportional representation.

It argues this is crucial for restoring trust in politics, which is at a historically low level.
Polling commissioned by the APPG shows 64 per cent of the public believe the existing electoral system's issues need addressing before the next election.
The UK recently had its most disproportional election, with Labour winning 63 per cent of seats with just 34 per cent of the vote.
The Greens and Reform received a combined vote share of over 20 per cent, yet only secured just over one per cent of the Commons seats.
