A community project is launching a new phase in support of the Isle of Wight's LGBTQ+ community.
The Out On An Island project, led by StoneCrabs, is commemorating World AIDS Day with the launch of the three-year Building Bridges phase, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
Celebrations are set to take place on Sunday, December 1, from 11.30am to 1.30pm at Monkton Arts, East Street, Ryde.
Now in its seventh year, the project aims to foster inclusivity and progression across the Island.
The event offers attendees a chance to engage with the Building Bridges plans, partake in future activities, and view Out On An Island's memorial quilt.
Poems selected for World AIDS Day will also be read, and information on the Pride In Self, Pride In Place exhibition, set for Quay Arts in February and March 2025, will be available.
The exhibition marks 20 years of LGBT History Month.
The event is open to all, with the organisers keen to hear ideas on how best to support the Island's LGBTQ+ community and allies.
Refreshments have been donated by the Co-Op supermarket in Ryde, while hot drinks will be available for purchase.
