THERE are power cuts affecting various areas across the Isle of Wight.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) engineers have been called out to outages in Ryde, East Cowes and Apse Heath this morning (Wednesday, November 27).
Engineers were called out to the Kingston Road and upper York Avenue areas of East Cowes at 2.52am and are still on site, with the aim of restoring power to all affected areas by 12 noon.
The RNLI and businesses near Osborne House, including the Prince of Wales public house are affected.
A fault on the underground network was responsible for the outage.

In the St John's area of Ryde, engineers were called to deal with a planned outage at 9am.
SSEN are on site and predict the work to be completed by 1pm today.
The power cut in the Apse Heath area, affecting three post codes, started at 8.30am.
Power was due to be switched back on at 10am.
