Isle of Wight ferry firm Red Funnel has cancelled even more sailings – this time for a sea trial.

The cross-Solent operator says the cancellations are necessary to allow for a sea trial in favourable weather conditions following the completion of works to Red Osprey’s engine.

Today (Sunday), more than ten sailings were cancelled while 'essential works' were carried out on Red Osprey.

Now, Red Funnel has put paid to two early morning sailings for tomorrow (Monday).

The 4.30am from Southampton and the 6am from East Cowes are no longer running.
