AN incident at a popular Isle of Wight pub last night (Saturday) resulted in a man being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
At around 10.40pm, police were called to the scene at The Crown public house on Ryde High Street.
They were alerted by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and responding to a report of a man being assaulted by another man.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight constabulary said an investigation is ongoing.
A man in his 20s was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
