With Storm Bert bringing strong winds to the Isle of Wight this afternoon, here’s a look at the forecast for the remainder of the day.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for strong winds remains in effect for the Island and runs until 9pm tonight.
The IW Met Service also has a severe weather warning alert active, which is live until 6pm.
Local forecaster, Jamie Russell, predicted a mild day, but still very windy, with patchy rain and drizzle from time to time.
Heading into the evening, he says we should see a band of heavy rain crossing the area from the west.
Expect temperatures between 16 and 16C, with south/southwest 32-54mph winds, as well as localised gusts of up to 65mph, becoming 28-50mph by the evening.

Tonight, the IW Met Service says we should expect rain, heavy for a time, before easing after midnight.
Towards dawn, we should see showers moving in from the southwest.
Expect temperatures between 10 and 12C, with 27-52mph south/southwest winds, becoming west 11-19mph shortly before midnight, then turning to west/southwest 14-27mph by dawn.
Rainfall between 18-22mm.
