ISLE of Wight police have confirmed no one was injured following a crash on a rural road between Newport and Cowes yesterday evening (Friday).
At around 7pm, officers were alerted to a single vehicle collision on Whitehouse Road.
The incident, which involved a white Renault Trafic van, saw the road blocked for a time.
The County Press was told the van, which sustained significant front-end damage, came to rest in a ditch to the side of the road.
Despite considerable damage to the vehicle, thankfully, and perhaps miraculously, no injuries have been reported.
