Isle of Wight ferry firm Wightlink is warning of potential disruption to its services this weekend – as Storm Bert wreaks havoc across the south coast.
The storm is expected to bring high winds which could hamper cross-Solent services.
“We advise anyone planning to travel with us to check our website for further information,” said a spokesperson for the ferry operator.
“If there are delays or cancellations, customers with bookings will be contacted by our team.”

Isle of Wight weather warning for ice issued amid falling temperature
A yellow weather warning for ice comes into effect at 5pm tomorrow, affecting some parts of the Isle of Wight.
The warning runs until 10am on Saturday and is likely to mean icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Further weather warnings have also been issued for the UK over the weekend but are expected to narrowly miss the Island.
