County Hall's key decision-making body will today consider some of the Isle of Wight's most critical issues.

The 39-member Full Council will stamp its authority on a wide array of subjects ranging from the future of the Isle of Wight's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a Local Council Tax Support plan for 2025/26 to councillor motions on mental health and the struggles of small business.

Councillors will vote on a 157-page, five-year plan for conserving and enhancing the landscape and seascape of the AONB.

Ventnor and St Lawrence representative Cllr Ed Blake tabled a motion calling for 'proactive action' on tackling the stigma of mental health and suicide on the Island.

His Fairlee and Whippingham counterpart, Cllr Matthew Price, lodged a plea for small business support from both the council and Westminster.
