A major retailer, which specialises in key cutting, watch and shoe repairs, is coming to Tesco Extra on the Isle of Wight.
National chain Timpson, which has other outlets in Asda and Sainsbury's in Newport, is opening at the Ryde supermarket, off Brading Road — but not in the location it had originally planned to.
In 2022, a proposal was submitted to open a branch in a pod in the car park, taking up four spaces close to the entrance.
After a number of objections, the application was later withdrawn.
Now, work has begun for Timpson to occupy part of Tesco's building, which was being used as an exit for customers.
Timpson signage has already gone at the front of the store, by the new click and collect and former parent and child parking spaces.

It's understood it will be up and running by early next year.
It is the latest change to occur at the supermarket giant's Ryde base in recent times.
As previously reported, the former click and collect canopy has been demolished amid rumours a Burger King could be coming to the car park.
Recently, new time limits have also been imposed on shoppers leaving their vehicles in the car park.
