Isle of Wight ferry firm Red Funnel has raised more than £21,000 for the Isle of Wight Foodbank.

The company's CEO, Fran Collins, delivered the news in person and spent time with the team and volunteers, helping with sorting donations and packing boxes.

Throughout November, the foodbank is encouraging people to take part in its Reverse Advent Calendar initiative, which involves assembling a box with a small item each day, totalling 24.

CEO Fran Collins said: "I was quite simply blown away by the amazing team at the Isle of Wight Foodbank. They deliver their essential and hugely effective food distribution work with great compassion and commitment.

"Beyond food essentials, they help individuals find work, access benefits, improve budgeting skills, and help to address mental health challenges – making a truly meaningful, holistic impact for those in crisis."
