A popular Isle of Wight seafront pub and restaurant has taken a step closer to its chippy dream following its ‘opening soon’ announcement.
As previously reported by the County Press, The Millbay in Ventnor looks forward to unveiling a big change to its restaurant area.
The family-friendly pub and dining venue on the Esplanade, which promises a salty breeze to season your day, has been hard at work turning the restaurant into a fish and chip shop.
Anticipation began building following the announcement earlier this year, with the restaurant already placed in the top 15 for fish and chips on the Island, according to TripAdvisor.

A Facebook page was launched for The Plaice To Be in March, and after eight months, there has finally been an update this week.
With the message ‘opening soon’, The Millbay posted a teaser photo of its shiny new traditional fish and chips and hot buffet area.
The venue also boasts a function room available to hire for all occasions, from quiz nights to birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, wakes and more.
The Plaice to Be will offer eat-in or takeaway options, with The Millbay restaurant continuing to service food from its usual menu.
