Bembridge Cub Scouts teamed up with a professional snapper to help complete their coveted photography badges.

Most people think of scouting as putting up tents and singing around a campfire, but there is much more to the historic organisation than meets the eye.

“Learning different skills and earning badges are all part and parcel of scouting,” said a spokesperson for the organisation.

“We always want to teach our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts different skills, and of course learning how to start a fire, first aid and friendship are obvious ones.

To embrace this, Bembridge Cub Scouts teamed up with professional landscape photographer, Chad Powell.

The Cubs were challenged to take a couple of photos with Isle of Wight as the theme.

Chad, who runs Printing Powell, was then tasked with picking out his top five ‘showcase’ photos, which he then printed and mounted so the Cubs could cherish them forever.
