AN ISLE of Wight drink driver crashed her car after giving her sister a lift to a party in Newport.
Ella Furnell, of Adelaide Place, Ryde, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, November 12.
The 23-year-old admitted drink driving in Ryde, on Great Preston Road, on October 26.
Prosecutor, Lauren McConnell, said patrolling police officers were travelling along Great Preston Road at around 11.50pm.
She said they were alerted to a two-car collision and Furnell was at the scene, standing next to her Ford Fiesta, which was involved in the collision.
The court heard she had been driving her sister to a party in Newport after drinking some Desperados lager and crashed on the way home.

She registered a breath-alcohol reading of 79 when the legal limit is 35.
Oscar Vincent, defending, said Furnell had not been before the courts before and held a clean driving licence.
He said she was a graduate who had lost her job in the care provider industry as a result of the conviction.
Mr Vincent said he was surprised police kept her in the cells when she was fully co-operative, and the experience was significantly traumatic for her.
Furnell was disqualified from driving for 17 months and fined £120 with costs of £85 and a £48 surcharge.
