Peacocks in Newport shut its doors in April 2021, during the Covid pandemic.

At the time, a Facebook post from staff said: "We would love to say a huge thank you to all staff past and present and to all our customers that we have had through the doors, it’s been a fantastic ride!"

Although an exact opening date for Peacocks' Newport return is not yet known, renovation works are currently ongoing.

The building has been sat empty since Iceland shut last March.
