A man has suffered serious injuries — and one person has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving — following a collision on the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to Combley Road, Havenstreet at 8.11am, after a Mini left the road and came to rest, on its roof, in a hedge.
The collision also involved a Land Rover.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was also called, alongside paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Police have since confirmed the driver of the Mini, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The passenger of the Mini, a teenage girl, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A 43-year-old man from Newport has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has been released under investigation.
Combley Road was closed for the majority of the morning, meaning lengthy diversions for drivers.
The road has since reopened.
