A car has been seized by police after dangerous driving "caused distress" to horses and riders in an Isle of Wight village today (Sunday, November 10).
The Island's Road Policing Unit (RPU) and armed response vehicle (ARV) teams have been dealing with the driver of a silver Honda CR-V.
It was reported that the driver had been driving dangerously through Wootton, Havenstreet and Ryde earlier.
On Main Road in Havenstreet, it is understood that the vehicle was causing distress to horses and riders.
The vehicle also also reported to have "no documents," said police.
Officers located the driver, and the vehicle has been seized.
A police spokesperson said: "There is zero tolerance to persons using vehicles with no documents and driving in this manner."
Hampshire and IW Constabulary have been contacted for a statement.
