Isle of Wight ferry operator Red Funnel has confirmed several cancellations on its passenger service this afternoon (Saturday, November 9).
UPDATE: Red Funnel says the service has now returned to timetable.
The cross-Solent provider announced earlier today that four sailings had been cancelled on its Red Jet service between Cowes and Southampton.
Initially, the 11.30am and 12.05pm from Southampton and the 12.05pm and 12.40pm from Cowes were cancelled due to ‘operational reasons'.

The ferry operator has now confirmed that Red Jet 7 is suffering ‘ongoing issues’ with its emergency battery.
As a result, Red Funnel has also cancelled the 1.15pm, 2.25pm and 3.35pm sailings from Southampton and the 1.50pm, 3pm and 4.10pm crossings from Cowes.
Red Funnel said it apologises for the inconvenience.
The cancellations follow yesterday's decision to cancel two sailings to allow the crew to have a rest.
