Residents and visitors in Ventnor can pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, with three main events planned in the town.

Tomorrow (Remembrance Sunday), a Service of Remembrance will take place at 2pm at St Catherine’s Church, organised by Ventnor Town Council in collaboration with the Royal British Legion.
The service will be followed by the laying of wreaths at 3pm at Ventnor War Memorial on Park Avenue.

On Armistice Day (Monday, November 11), two events will take place.
A traditional observance of remembrance will be held at the war memorial starting at 10.50am.
The service will feature bugle calls, a two-minute silence, poetry and music designed to be respectful and open to all faiths and none.
Attendees are invited to bring their own poppy tributes to lay during the service.
The Ventnor Royal British Legion will host a Remembrance Service at its Social Club on the High Street, beginning at 10.45am.
