Girlguiding members on the Isle of Wight have been awarded grants to undertake outdoor adventures.
In October, more than 100 Brownies enjoyed a muddy and wet outing at Kingswood, Bembridge.
The adventure was made possible by a grant from Girlguiding's Adventure Fund, aimed at encouraging members to explore the outdoors.
Rainbows from across the Island, including Newport, Carisbrooke, Seaview, Ryde, Binstead, Gurnard, The Bay, Lake, and East Cowes, had previously travelled to Moors Valley in the summer.
Guides from the same units ventured to Go Ape, Moors Valley, in the autumn.
Guide leaders on the Isle of Wight applied for the grants to cover travel and entrance fees, factors that often pose challenges for Island groups due to the cost of coach hire and ferry fares.
The funds have opened up opportunities for Rangers as well, with plans for a visit to The Mary Rose in Portsmouth.
These outings have not only helped the young members learn new skills but also fostered teamwork and friendships, as the girls interacted with members from different units.
