AN ISLE of Wight woman repeatedly caught breaching a police Community Protection Notice (CPN) has been fined.

Amber Banham-Gage, of George Street, Ryde, admitted to failing to comply with the notice on September 17.

The 22-year-old appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court.

Banham-Gage, unemployed, was issued the CPN by the police, for 12 months, with strict conditions not to associate with other named individuals.

Her flouting of the notice in September was the latest of many to come before the bench this year.

On the day in question, Banham-Gage was captured on CCTV in Ryde town centre walking past the Crown Inn pub, drinking alcohol, with people she was prohibited from being with in public, said Giles Fletcher, prosecuting.

Banham-Gage was made subject to a probation order, imposed in June, and a four-month conditional discharge, handed to her on October 1, for failing to comply with the same CPN.

For Banham-Gage, Oscar Vincent said his client is "a vulnerable individual with social isolation issues".

"She is part of a very small friendship group, who are like a family to her.

"The activities she was engaged in, with friends, were lawful, with no suggestion of any anti-social behaviour evident."

Banham-Gage was fined £80, with £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
