A group of Isle of Wight carers have written a children's book.
Carers IW's Creative Carers group have written and illustrated Save Dave, a short children's story.
The story centres around worms, after members of the group brainstormed ideas.
Each member of the group created a character, giving it a look, personality and name.
The group was recently recognised by actor Miriam Margolyes in a video message.
Save Dave will be launched on Wednesday, November 27, at the Carers IW Conference.
Lucy Bell, group facilitator and artist, said: “This has become so much more than just a book, it’s a beacon that highlights the importance of charities like Carers IW, who support unpaid carers.
"It's given such excitement, pride and joy to the group members.
"We hope by selling the book, not only will it raise money for Carers IW but it will also spread the joy that went into the creation of the book."
Carers IW supports adult unpaid carers who care for adults on the Isle of Wight.
The Creative Carers group has members who care for partners, children and parents all with different disabilities, providing an afternoon of time out for the members.
