An Isle of Wight driver has been fined and handed penalty points after he was caught speeding on the dual carriageway.
Richard Cottell, of High Park Road in Ryde, attended Aldershot Justice Centre on Monday, November 4.
The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to exceeding a 40mph speed limit.
On August 25, Cottell was spotted by police driving his Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 on Medina Way (dual carriageway) in Newport.

Officers clocked the vehicle travelling at 72mph while in the 40mph zone.
Cottell was handed a £350 fine and ordered to pay a £140 surcharge and £110 in court courts.
His licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.
