A fire caused by discarded sparklers on a popular Isle of Wight route sparked a callout for firefighters on Bonfire Night.
Yesterday (Tuesday), at around 8pm, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a bin fire on Ashey Road.
The cause of the fire was attributed to discarded sparklers and firefighters quickly brought it under control.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
Firefighters stood down at around 8.15pm.
