A young farmer has been recognised for her contributions to the Isle of Wight's agricultural community.

At Birmingham's National Conference Centre, 27-year-old Sian Grove was shortlisted for the Young Farmer of the Year category in the National Young Farmers Achiever Awards.

Ms Grove, who originally joined the Isle of Wight Young Farmers' Club without a farming background, has since made significant strides in the industry.

Now in her second year as chair of the Isle of Wight club, she has become a first-generation shepherdess, managing 18 sheep, and has launched her own farming enterprise.

She is also active on social media, inspiring others to take up farming.

In addition, she serves as an NFU student and young farmer ambassador and as secretary for the Isle of Wight Gilten Market.

Her primary job is secretary for the Royal Isle of Wight County Show, where she works to foster connections between the public and the farming community.

She also engages with schools to promote the Young Farmers' Club and agricultural careers.

Despite not winning the award, Ms Grove's recognition at a national level is seen as a significant achievement for the Isle of Wight Young Farmers' Club.
