An Isle of Wight town centre road has been cleared following a crash involving a double-decker bus and a car this evening (Monday, November 4).
Hampshire and IW Constabulary were sent to South Street in Newport at around 7pm following reports of a collision.
At the scene, a car and a Southern Vectis bus had collided, narrowly avoiding damage to bollards and a traffic island.
The incident happened at the mini-roundabout outside Cineworld.
Police closed the road to allow the vehicles and debris to be cleared.
The route has now been reopened.
Southern Vectis and police have been contacted for statements.
